In my last article, we looked at the Paht Chee of chart for 2019 and did a forecast for each month based on the monthly pillars. Not only did we look at the elements, but we also looked at the effects of the animal signs of each month and how it affected the luck forecast for that specific month.
The article was quite popular and I received quite a number of emails requesting for a monthly forecast reading their Paht Chee chart. Although all our Paht Chee readings now includes this feature, for those who have had their charts read before, we will offer the annual update and monthly forecast. I also received quite a number of emails asking me for the lucky colors to wear for the year, which is what led to me writing this article.
So, how does one figure out what colors would be lucky for the year, as well as what colors would be lucky for each month? And then there is the question of what one’s personal lucky colors are based on one’s Paht Chee reading?
Well, the first thing you need to understand is that your personalized lucky colors based on your Paht Chee reading always takes first precedence, especially if the colors chosen represent missing elements in your chart.
What we are going to do in this article is not based on anyone’s personal Paht Chee, but rather, on the chart of 2019, and so the results would apply to everyone regardless of what animal sign you were born under or what your personalized chart says.
First of all, we need to identify the basket of elements for the chart for 2019. After that, we look at the elements that each month introduces in order to identify what elements would be needed to bring balance back to the basket of elements.
We know that the chart for 2019 is complete with all 5 elements – 1 Metal, 2 Water, 1 Wood, 3 Fire and 1 Earth.

This month of the Tiger brings Yang Fire and Yang Wood in the pillars. And we also have hidden elements of Yang Earth and Yang Fire in the Tiger. Since Tiger is the secret friend of the Boar, this brings another element of Wood. Thus we would need to introduce Metal in order to balance the resultant basket of elements. Lucky colors are Metal – White, Grey, Purple, Gold or Silver. You should avoid colors of Fire – Red, Maroon, and Orange.

The Rabbit brings Yin Fire and Yin Wood. There are no hidden elements found for this month. Lucky colors are Metal – White, Grey, Purple, Gold or Silver, and Earth – Yellow and Light Brown.

Dragon brings 2 units of Yang Earth and hidden Yin Water and Yin Wood, which makes the rest of the elements into better balance, with the exception of a lack of Metal. Lucky colors are Metal – White, Grey, Purple, Gold or Silver.

The Snake brings Yin Earth and Yin Fire as well as hidden elements of Yang Earth and Yang Metal. Snake also combines with Monkey in the Day producing hidden Water. Lucky colors for this month are Wood colors – all the shades of Green and Dark Brown. It is also very important not to renovate the Northwest corner of your home, as the Snake is a direct clash animal of the Boar. You should avoid colors of Fire – Red, Maroon, and Orange.

The Horse brings Yang Metal and Yang Fire with hidden Yin Earth. Lucky colors for this month are the Wood colors – all the shades of Green and Dark Brown. You should avoid colors of Fire – Red, Maroon, and Orange.
