My son has received a golden ceremonial sword from the army. He is very proud of it and wants to place it in his room which is in the NW of the apartment home. I am not terribly excited at having the sword in the home or his bedroom.

He wants to hang it horizontally with the hilt to the bedroom door (N) which is almost parallel to his bed, and the end of the sword facing East.
Any advice and suggestions appreciated (except to ask him to stick it in the cupboard which he refuses to !)
thank you
S

In Chinese philosophy NW always represent head of the community or family. It also represent power or authority. Hanging sword in NW can mean the person very aggressive like a army. It's good for those athletes and in military or even in sales.
