As we enter the Year of the Golden Tiger and the 2nd decade of the new millenium, FSW goes into its 8th year of print with a bonanza issue full of information to start the coming year right. 2010 couples the ferocity of the King of Cats with its magnificence. It promises to be a year full of towering highs and devastating lows. History has proven that Tiger years go down in history as much for good news as bad, so while it will not be a forgiving year, it is one in which hard work and tenacity will pay off. Don’t forget to check your luck with your personal Fortune & Feng Shui 2010 book – in a year when the peaks and troughs are exaggerated, it becomes even more important to get timing absolutely right.

The key points to take note of this year are that there is no Lap Chun and there is an incredible shortage of Water element energy. To create your own Spring you thus need the Dragon image, which completes the springtime seasonal combination with the Tiger and the Rabbit; and to make up for the lack of Water, adorn yourself with Water energy in the clothes you wear, the jewels you pick and the colour schemes you choose. Note that blues and blacks are best and luckiest for the year. There is a lot more on this in our annual articles within, which analyse the year’s Paht Chee and Flying Star charts in greater detail for you. There are also specific rituals and guidelines to follow through the 15 days of the Lunar New Year; getting this right ensures you set an auspicious tone for the rest of the coming year.

On the celebrity front, we feature prominent Hollywood Tiger-born personalities – Tom Cruise, Victoria Beckham, Megan Fox, Demi Moore and Leonardo diCaprio – and have a look at how they will fare in a year supposedly their own. And in a year when Leadership plays a prominent role, we also look at our world leaders and how the year promises to pan out for them. Their luck and how they interact with each other is bound to have an impact on the rest of us.

We’d also like to heartily congratulate Lillian Too on her status of Grand Master in Feng Shui, conferred on her by the International Feng Shui Association at their recent Annual Convention in Singapore. Lillian has worked tirelessly over the last 15 years to spread this amazing living skill of feng shui, simplifying it and making it accessible to a worldwide audience through her books, TV shows and websites. Her motto has always been “you can do your own feng shui”, and in her much anticipated, new full-colour book LIVING WITH GOOD FENG SHUI, she invites readers into her home and into her life to show just how she does it. It is an intimate and detailed collection of a continuing journey that started over 30 years ago, and a book not to be missed by any feng shui enthusiast.

We wish you Gong Xi Fa Cai and a most auspicious year ahead!
