i want to help a friend asking about his chart,

Ding Geng Yi Wu
Hai Yin Mao Wu

as far as i can read his Ba zi, i think this person is lucky and wealthy, (he is born in a really rich family too)

but why is his chart really unlucky in Zi Wei Dou Shu?

lets look at 4p itself,

can we look at this perspective:

geng tied by yi cannot produce metal unless meet metal luck.
the wealth in this chart is strong.
the current big luck gives a lot of wood and fires,
metal only help is from earth at year, that's why family can support him. (parents are civil servant?)
but he himself is very weak, cannot manage wealth, faced with many stress, at work credit and girlfriend being snatched by others..
but he is lucky that he is still alive.
his family rich does not mean he rich.

Sorry for late response. Been rather busy lately.

Nevertheless, here is my take, from my very limited knowledge.

As for BaZi, it is actually very straightforward, as he is born in a great door of support, where the flow of qi is smooth.
That would explain his door of wealth.

However, as he steps out of his gates, and into his immediate house doors, he is no longer as well supported as he ought to be.

This is also valid from his luck pillar's point of view where his early years are very supportive.

Is his current life hitting abit of stalemate? The year of 2012 should be good for him in somewhat neutral ways however (like a silver lining in poor situations).

As he proceeds on to his later life, he would encounter more and more networking support, which serves to cement success through potential friendships, partnerships and more.

You CAN work with him, but remember what I said about your chart? Not too many partnerships aye.

IMHO, GENG YI combination need not require metal luck to produce metal, it just need to avoid fire luck in general.
In any case, his chart will not allow successful transformation of GENG YI.

Yeah I agree, his early life is prosperous but as he enters last decade (his 22-32 age), he is in a lllot of trouble, got into a few life threatening accident, fraud etc but he's getting bac on his feet after 32

He just asked, how about marriage, what kind of ba zi should he look into when he searches for spouse? (Spouse's day master, shio, etc)

As for spouse, honestly we shouldn't judge a person based on bazi for potential relationships, but instead, to allow the feelings and human rationale to kick in? Could you convey this to your friend for me?

Nevertheless, he could look for someone without certain clashes, or someone with a simple chart. When i mean simple, it means a person with not too much of complications and elemental gods in the chart.
