Meanwhile, we have lined up a delectable array of articles to keep you reading and feeling festive into Christmas and the New Year. Did you know that for every equivalent yuletide symbol, comparisons can be drawn with feng shui? This accentuates just how blurred the lines of culture are, and how feng shui can be used in almost any context equally effectively. It seems the best way to apply this living skill is to incorporate contemporary elements including equivalents from other cultures. Lillian Too explores the essence of Nouveau Feng Shui in her Fine Points column explaining how feng shui can often be more potent when its principles are applied within the context of modern day environments.
It seems there is plenty of interest in body art as we have been receiving many letters enquiring about the auspiciousness of this or that tattoo; read about feng shui and body tattoo on page 14. We also get letters asking about the pyramid shape so we are carrying our Vaastu correspondent Surendran’s story on the mysteries of the Pyramid shape. It seems these ancient structures offer a correlation between feng shui and Bio-geometry; Chris Yeo gives us a down to earth explanation on designing a perfect office, while Peter Lung discusses two of his recent feng shui consultations, a home and a commercial property.
We bring you the buzz on the return of the adorable Spice Girls and toast the Hollywood marriage of Michael Douglas and dazzling Catherine Zeta Jones, who is the new face of jewellery house Di Modolo. Speaking of jewellery, we are thrilled to unveil Lillian Too’s exciting new lines of jewellery. YES this Christmas and New Year will see the upcoming launch of two exclusive Lillian Too jewellery collections… (yes she has been creative and busy – don’t know how she does it!)
First is her haute line in which she works with upmarket German jewellers OE Design. To celebrate their 10-year collaboration, Lillian worked with their international expert designer to come up with the Designer Dragon collection. These are specially crafted limited edition bejewelled dragons that come in 24K gold and use only the finest quality diamonds, emeralds and sapphires. Read about Lillian’s dragons on page 21.
Then for the younger set, some irresistible lucky charms which I simply cannot wait to wear. This is Lillian Too’s Lucky Dzi collection – charms made in rich sterling silver that replicate all the luckiest of the Dzi attributes. The fabulous thing is you can customize your charm bracelet according to the kind of luck you want! Don’t miss checking out these beautiful silver Dzis – they are not only the most IN bling thing this season, they are also the only ones of their kind anywhere in the world!
Finally, for those who haven’t yet got your tickets to Lillian’s Feng Shui Extravaganza , make a date with her as she seamlessly incorporates her THINK BIG theme into all the most important updates for the coming year of the EARTH RAT. The Extravaganza premiers in Singapore and KL on January 6th and 13th 2008 respectively, after which we are flying to Hawaii for a January 19th date and on to London for a March 1st appearance. Those wanting to delve into next year’s astrological energies for the twelve animal signs or want to get the 2008 Almanac and Diary , these are already on sale in the shops! Get them before they get out of stock.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
