i live in a house whose main gate is facing sw3 and is across an electric post. cures, like burying a chicken (among others) across the pole, etc. has been done seventeen years ago when the house was built. i have been lucky so far. i intend to have my gate changed. i would like to know what material (stainless steel, wood, etc) would be best and if is there a design which i can have made on the gate to enhance health and wealth luck.

Feng Shui is talking about direction, location, stars, space, and Qi. The question you ask is not in the more than 3000 years of learning.

i read there are auspicious shapes that when put together could be a design? images (which we can have drawn or painted on our gate) or symbols (which we can have sculpted or carved out) that are auspicious when placed as design on our gate, perhaps?

That got a method, but not so important. That is only for remedies or for cure the bad sha things. So rest assure.
