January and February 2010 were busy months for WOFS UK franchisees, Victoria Kovalenko (London) and Yelena Aust (Oxford). While Victoria was busy giving talks on Feng Shui, Yelena looked after the boutiques during the busiest time of the year. It did not take long to realize how good the year started for WOFS UK.

World Of Feng Shui (WOFS) London participated in the recent Mind Body Soul Exhibition 2010 held over two days (3rd & 4th October) in Kensington Olympia, London.

March 2008 saw Lillian Too return to London to give her first feng shui seminar there in more than 5 years. The event was hosted by Viktorija Kovalenko of WOFS London, who owns and runs the World of Feng Shui boutique in the popular Whiteleys shopping centre in Bayswater.

This 'tuning in' to the vibrations has intrigued all the wise people throughout time and still does- from shamans to scientists, from philosophers to psychics and engineers. Aristotle and Michael Faraday knew there was more to things that those that could be actually seen!

Feng Shui tunes us into quantum packets of energy which can help us get through life, support us through hard times, create potential and creativity to bring the best out of us during good times, protect us against the interference of artificial electromagnetic energy-poison arrows, shar chi!

The chi enters a house through its doors and windows, but mainly through the main door, known as the 'kou', meaning mouth. The chi must be able to curve and wander through the hall in a meanderitng fashion, not just rush through and be wasted or lie in stagnant pools, losing its goodness.

Beams can be found in any room. If they can be seen then they need to be protected, because they symbolise the pressing down of chi onto whoever or whatever is beneath them. Incidentally, it is for this reason that bunk beds are not a good idea!

Kitchens are very difficult rooms to get right using Feng Shui. Think about it for a moment. You have a clash straightaway of fire and water--in the appliances that you find in a kitchen. The kitchen, as it contains water and also food, is connected with wealth and is often called one of the 'water' rooms.

Offices should be offices and all 'business things'kept there. No fax machines in bedrooms, no brief cases in the dining room! Good locations for offices are, the North East--Knowledge and Learning, North West--Mentors, Networking and Helpful People, North--Career and of course, South East--Wealth and Richness of Life.

Crystals/stones are energisers and should be especially displayed in the south west, north east or centre of the home---earth element areas. Avoid placing them in long, narrow corridors as they make the chi rush through too quickly! Chi can become tired and faded in the same way that furniture and furnishings can be affected by strong sunlight.

Dee Johl and Dolly Sidhu of will be spearheading World of Feng Shui in Toronto, Canada, and their first shop is expected to open in 2006.
