Whoever read "Feng Shui Demystified II" by U.W. Lippelt, please help me.
This is a wonderful book and explains things well. However, I am not understanding the harmonious properties among the Ruling, Mountain, and Water stars vs. the actual countermeasures. I am lost about how harmony is created, but I forgot which page this info is on. However, I can give an example the author is giving:
Star combo 6/4/1:
Step 1. recognize mountain 6, ruling 4, water 1 (understood very well here)
Step 2. recognize that the facing star 1 is the full and nourshing energy coming from the front, which will enhance the energy of the ruling 4. The mountain 6 is the robbing energy coming from the undefeated, which destorys the energy of the ruling base (understood very well here)
Step 3. To balance the effect the mountain 6 has on the ruling 4, we have to use earth element as countermeasure which is the small energy coming from the defeated (i don't understand WHY earth element should be used. How does a small energy coming from the defeated help; i don't get it?). In order to establish harmony, fire may be used to balance the effect the water element of the 1 has on the ruling base of the 4 Oh my! i am even more confused; why do we need to destroy metal by using fire, and how can fire help in the way that water can extinguish water ? And what is this harmony he is talking about; i totally don't get it
Step 4. However, since it is desirable to nourish the wood element of the 4, [above-mentioned step 3 above] had therefore better not to be done. The same will apply, if the facing star is number 6 and the mountain is number 1. water nourishes wood, and that's what i understood, so why fuss all step 3 of this and that for whatever harmony that is and circle around, and then not to do anything after all. So... what's the step 3 is doing?
