3-5 combination:

I have an active room with 1mountain, 3water, 5ruling/period numbers. In 5 element logic, wood(3) destroys earth(5). Thus, the above mentioned ill effect shouldn't occur, due to earth being destroyed.

Question 1. However, how do these two flying stars exist at the same time to have the flying star combination ill effect?
Question 2. Since 5 is destroyed by 3, only does 3 exist. Because it is untimely, I countermeasure 3 with fire. However, once 3 is drained by fire, 5 would survive. That' means the 3-5 combination resumes. Oh..MY!!! no matter how I countermeasure 3 or 5, then it's going to circle around. What is the best way to do it?

Thank you AngelAmethyst. I understood water star has stronger energy than the ruling star, so the ruling 5 should be controlled/destroyed. If that's the case, the 3-5 combination does not exist anymore, logically.
