hi, i've been practicing the incense cleansing ritual as taught by wofs' website and tibetan cosmic calendar.
i've been using kemenyen for the cleansing.
however lately i've heard a few people saying that kemenyen cant be used indoor by chinese family as kemenyen is used to worship natokong which is a malay deity. The restriction is said that that we eat non halal food at home, and if we burn kemenyen it will attract the deity home anit will be not pleased with the family.

could someone please clarify this?

This is a good question. I have no knowledge about this method but will do the salt and rice cleansing ritual this week. Has anyone used that method? What results happened? Please share your wisdom.

I'm not quite sure, but my family uses kemenyen incense when someone gets seriously ill, when a relative dies, or when we feel like the house needs cleansing. We're Chinese and we were not told about offending a diety.
