Im planning a makeover as the room my two boys are in is in desperate need for a change. The younger one has grown out of his cot bed and needs a big bed. We gave the kids the biggest room in the house (but its not that big really...) to make it 3 in one - bedroom, study and play room.
This room is situated in the NW sector of the house.

We cannot move them into another as its just not viable. :/

Some info:
House Facing almost directly NORTH

Eldest son DOB: 14 June 2005
Youngest son DOB: 16 February 2009 (I believe AFTER CNY)

CURRENT bedroom layout:
N wall - Large window almost wall to wall. Beneath this window is my 2yo sons cot bed. Positioned length ways along this wall (head points W and sometimes E)
E wall - Single bed for 8 Year old son. Bed positioned lengthways along this wall. (Head points N) At the food of this bed is the bedroom door
S wall - big double desk with two computers and two desk chairs. Boxes of toys are underneath this desk
W wall - wall to wall, floor to ceiling wardrobe. The sides of this wardrobe are open shelves where I put the children's books, toys and other paraphernalia.
currently all walls are white, so is the wardrobe and the curtains are a cream. Floor rug is cream, coffee and brown in colour.
Both beds are wooden.

NEW Layout Plan:
Bunk Bed - yes I know, not a good Idea
Their room will not really work comfortably with two single beds, the only position would be to place the bunk bed against the EAST wall like the current bed single bed is. I dont think the South wall would be good as this is the coffin position right?

Possibly a pastel yellow or blue theme wall on either the SOUTH wall or the EAST wall, all other walls will stay white. Or should I just keep it all white?

Bunk bed will be solid wood. I will put up a fun sheet that covers the slats of the top bed, and add curtains to the bottom bunk to allow the bottom bed to bed sealed off - is this a good idea?
I was also told to hang a crystal under the top bunk.

What do you think about a comic hero poster for the boys put on SOUTH wall, nothing themed with violence like killing or attacking, just super hero's standing in a pose eg avengers or xmen? My boys want to have pictures of their favourite super heros like spiderman and the avengers. Any thoughts?

Alternative layout:
We did some measurements to accommodate two single beds with head boards on the East wall. This wont leave much room to move about. I would leave the desk where it is on the South wall, in so doing, leaves a tight walking path around the room. I know the boys will probably jump over the beds to get to the door.
South wall: Desks
OR
Small desks in front of the shelving (on either side of the wardrobe) on the WEST wall

SOUTH wall will be free for a chest of drawers where they can put their school bags and store their stationary etc.

I will be doing a de-clutter as all their nicknacks are EVERYWHERE and spilling out of all their toy boxes too.

The little one is very naughty and I do get bashed by him a lot. My elder is cheeky too but not as naughty. They do show a lot of affection for me but boys will be boys i know

At the moment I keep a green quan yin on a high shelf on the West wall next to a salt lamp (night light in the NW corner of room).
What do you say to putting a parents/family photo/s on one or both sides of the shelves (Wardrobe/WEST)

I would really love to get your opinions and advice as I would like the best for the boys and hopefully improve their behavior and focus and allow them good chi as this is their space they have to share and grow up in.

If there is something out of place or needed to help with their behavior and overall good bedroom chi please let me know, Im open to all constructive criticism too.

Thank you in advance
Jen

IMAGE: Please note the beds shown are now the other way around, single bed is along the East wall, cot is under the window.
The shelves on the SOUTH wall are no longer there, instead a large desk.]]>

Subject: Thank u Bernard-feng shui tools to use? - by: woody888 http://www.wofs.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=14&id=19988&Itemid=161#19988 http://www.wofs.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=14&id=19988&Itemid=161#19988
Thank you so much, Bernard.

We are very thankful for your kindness. Yes. She is sleeping in that direction but according to her Kua (6), she is facing NW as her study desk is built in and facing the window. Is this alright for her? or harming her? We noticed this direction is not mentioned by you. So are we harming her if she sits and study facing NW?

But if it is not too much to ask, how are we to help prevent villains from coming into her life. We were told she will/may meet undesirable characters and if she choose the wrong life partner, there is violence and she will be pysically abused. A divorce may result? This has made us very worried. We are very worried and hope to use feng shui cures or tools as preventive measures but how and when do we start? Please help us. Is there any feng shui tools we can put in our home / keychains feng shui for her to carry to prevent ill-intention persons from going near her? We really want to protect her. The thought of being abused in her marriage sector sounds so sad.

We were told she is highly intelligent but is lacking in ambition and lazy. What can we do since she needs hard work to be successful in life?

Thank you kind Sir. Yes. We know we needs lots of good luck but we feel so helpless. Will having a lot of good luck things that are favourable elements to her help her in her future. We hope to have a happy family and less quarrels.]]>
