The chief executive officer of the World of Feng Shui Manila (Ground Floor, The Podium Mall, Ortigas Center, Tel. No. 9147112), Allen started with an analysis of the place, beginning from the outside.
Among other things, she found that the house was ruled by the element of wood. To strenghthen house luck, she suggested the colors green and brown, symbolic of wood and other colors that could symbolize water energy, or natural wood finishes.
Red colors, she said, should be avoided for interior finishes, as they suggested fire energy that could weaken the houses's luck and drain resources away. In general, the house had a favorable color scheme, though the color of some doors had to be changed.
Allen strongly recommended that the house's main door be moved towards the center to avoid any potential loss of wealth. The relocated door is now fronted by a Zen garden and mini waterfall.
The interior of the house was analyzed using different Feng Shui formulas, such as 8 Mansions and Flying stars. Many simple, easy-to-accomplish improvements were made as a result, such as relocating an aquarium from a westerly location to where it could better enhance money luck, removing mirrors from bedrooms to strenghthen family relationships and relocating trophies, photographs and famous mementous to the south sector.
Several key enhancers were been carefully placed in the house to complement the other improvements. They included a pair of Fu Dogs and metal rhinoceros to protect against intruders, crystals to enhance money luck, tribute horse, framed picture of 100 birds, rotating crystal lotus and a variety of lava lamps.
As Diaz also believes in personal amulets, Allen gave her a bracelet from Tibet, the powerful "nine-eyed Dzi". With this, Diaz is said to collect nine types of merits that help purify negative karma and dissolve obstacles to success. The dzi is best suited to those born under the Rabbit, Dragon and Snake signs, but since the 9-eyed Dzi is the "king of all Dzi" then anyone wearing it would benefit from good luck.
