Im new here and in Feng sui as well. ( currently learning)

1st Q : Solid Mountain painting is advice to be located behind our sit to provide better support.
mountain painting = earth element, my siting position is North facing South Kua 1, North is water element = career
will earth from painting destroy the water element(career) ?
home office : location is East mansion ( nine grid )


2nd Q: My toilet/ washing location is NW, which i heard is a very bad location cos it represent heaven Gate, kitchen / toilet r suppose not to be here. im unable to relocation due to space constraint. is there any cure i can used? if i wanted to enchance NW can i do it on Nw of living area?

Hi extremeFS,

What you have mentioned is the 8 Aspirations Theory which just indicate the functions represented in each sector of the bagua. In feng shui you have to look at he basic Taji symbol which show you that there are yin and yang. If you look into the 8 Aspirations, all the sectors carried a good representation. In this case all are yang sectors and so where are the yin sectors?

As a newbie, I will suggest you look into the 8 Mansions Theory for a start and perhaps you may wish to look at the post written by Jacky Lee at this link:

Hi Bernard im back after reading Jacky Lee post. i understand the nine grid and the 4 facing direction good / bad.

House Facing S2. Good direction= S, Se, E and N

I put small Ba gua on my home office(in the east sector of the nine Grid method) to determine which location is north n so on.
Wanted to enhance the North(career) / SE(wealth)
On SE i put a plant(wood) on my table, North which is behind my back, i put a metal windchime.
Now the question is, if i put a mountain picture behind(north) my sit for extra support, will mountain(earth) exhaust the water element on north?

hope i get the thing right

2nd Q on the toilet remain the same

Hi ExtremeFS,

As I have mentioned 8 Aspirations theory is just an indication of the sector function. By applying the 8 Mansions theory you already know which are your 4 best sectors of your house. Your house is sitting on North and facing South, so SE sector is your Sheng Chi, East - Tien Yi, South - Nien Yen and N - Fu Wei.

The best is to locate your Sheng Chi sector to place your working desk but you can also micro it into your room. Since your personal kua is 1 which is same as your house kua, so try to sit facing SE your personal Sheng Chi direction or at least any of your 4 best direction.

This year flying star 3 - quarrelsome and legal problem star is in the North and you have placed a windchime there. I think that could be the cause of the argument with your wife and also the legal problem you are facing.

Only kitchen is not advisable to be located in the NW as the fire is burning the heaven gate.

Without looking at your house layout plan, external environment and other details it is very difficult to further advise you
