Xuan Kong Liu Fa is the base for Xuan Kong Fei Xing. Most of us sturdy Flying Stars first and apply the technique without realizing the ruling energy. Ling Shen is active energy and describe Water Star and Zhang Shen is passive energy and describe the Mountain Star. The active and passive energy is from the I-Ching Yin / Yang theory. The study is based on the Early Heaven Arrangement and the Hexagram formation.

Encl pls find the XKLF energy distribution chart for the current period-8 (1996 to 2016). The grid is facing South and you can rotate according to the house facing direction. You can superimpose this chart to your Flying Star chart. Pls use the Pie chart format when you draw over your floor plan, as you need the accuracy in the facing degrees.

I was trying to learn liufa a long time ago when this forum among others became a battlefield, other forum members which were followers of Master Jacky got us excited about this system yet they were unwilling to share with us much information and where very secretive sometimes even darn rude. I do understand the concept of open, S, W, NW, NE and close N,E, SE, SW from ones tai ji, but thats where I was left out without knowing how to take into consideration the outside environment influence etc which has a stronger influence anyways. For example, my house faces south which is good. My bed's door from our tai ji is west, a/c are south and west etc etc, except my pool is in the North .. rending the house not good

If you are knowledgeable in Liu fa it will be very nice to share some information with us. I am not that smart when it comes to learning about aixing stars etc but I am sure some here will be able to carry on a good interaction with you hence making us learn along the way...

Xuan Kong Liu Fa originated from the Tai Ji and split into the Yin and Yang polarity as the 1st line. It is again split into the next Yin / Yang polarity as the 2nd line forming the Major / Minor Yin group and Major / Minor Yang group. Again it is split into the next Yin / Yang polarity as the 3rd line. The resultant is the 8 Trigram which the Yang polarity group consist of Qian, Dui, Li, and Zhen. The Yin polarity group are Xun, Kan, Gen and Kun.

Their locations are Qian [Heaven] (S), Dui [Marsh] (SE), Li [Fire] (E), Zhen [Thunder] (NE), Xun [Wind] (SW), Kan [Water] (W), Gen [Mountain] (NW) and Kun [Earth] (N) and is based on the Early Heaven Arrangements.

The relationship of the Trigrams as follows;
Yang Gender:
Qian (Father) All lines Yang,
Zhen (Eldest Son) 1st line Yang,
Kan (Middle Son) 2nd line Yang and
Gen (Youngest Son) 3rd line Yang

Yin Gender:
Kun (Mother) All lines Yin
Xun (Eldest Daughter) 1st line Yin
Li (Middle Daughter) 2nd line Yin and
Dui (Youngest Daughter) 3rd lin Yin

The Perfect Pairing are
Father and Mother
Eldest Son and Daughter
Middle Son and Daughter and
Youngest Son and Daughter

Because of the Harmony, the chinese poem is;
Heaven and Earth set their position,
Thunder and Wind are mutual companion,
Mountain and Marsh channel the Qi,
Water and Fire does not against each other.

I shall later continue on the 10 Heavenly Stems and the 12 Earthly Branches which interacts and form the 24 Mountain directions.
