BIEN-ÊTRE - Using Feng Shui to Activate Motherhood Luck

Tip 1
Place a pair of fertility elephants on the table beside the bed inside the bedroom.  They can be any size… if you like them big, place them on the floor flanking the bed.  It is believed that the elephant is a precious symbol which brings family luck and the image of one with its trunk down attracts children in the family.  In Beijing, the road that leads to the Ming tombs is lined with huge life sized elephant sculptures.  Local Folklore has it that any mother wishing for a son need only rub the back of any of these elephants.

An excellent method to attract fertility luck is to place the image of a bunch of pomegranates in the bedroom.  Pomegranates are excellent symbols of fertility.  Having the real thing are great but if you cannot find them, then a painting or picture of them will do just as well.

Tip 2
Change your sleeping direction re-orientate the bed so that the couple is sleeping with the head pointed to the man’s love direction, according to his KUA number*.  This is the family luck orientation and when you sleep in this direction, it brings wonderful family luck to husband and wife.

Tip 3
and finally, here is the method I recommend the most … Hang a picture of one hundred children in the house, on the west wall and such that you cannot fail to see it each time you enter your home.  Baby chi is the most powerful and in Feng Shui like attracts like … so if you want children, have children images in the home.

Calculating your Kua Number*

Calculate your Kua number by adding the last 2 digits of your year of birth till obtention of single digit; then add 5 to this number for women; for men deduct the number from 10.  EXAMPLE – A person born in 1969 would have a kua no 4 for a male (6+9=15; 1+5=6; then 10-6=4) and a Kua no 2 for a female (5+6=11; 1+1=2)

KUA NO. AUSPICIOUS LOVE DIRECTION
1 SOUTH
2 NORTH WEST
3 NORTH EAST
4 EAST
5

BECOMES KUA 2 FOR MALE
AND KUA 8 FOR FEMALES

6 SOUTH WEST
7 NORTH WEST
8 WEST
9 NORTH

Missing west Corner in a house

It is highly recommended, over and above the above recommendations, to have a Feng Shui audit of your home done by a Feng Shui consultant, in order to assess whether there are any vital missing corners or poison arrows in the house or in the vicinity which could be creating obstacles to the overall descendant’s luck.  An example of a floor of a house has been analysed and shows that the main cause of the difficulties for the couple to conceive a child is the missing west, northwest and south west corners.  The poison arrows which were identified in that particular house were (i) a big cactus tree directly facing the main door and sending horrendous luck to the residents, (ii) the staircase of the house was directly facing the main door, (iii) the couple was sleeping under a huge beam.  Feng Shui recommendations to remedy to these kind of afflictions in a house are to immediately build a room in the missing sector, to remove the obstructions in front of the main door and to shield the steps of the staircase from view of the entrance.  Furthermore, it is highly recommended to locate the master bedroom in a sector that corresponds to the love direction of the husband, as per his Kua number calculated as explained above.  According to Feng Shui, when it comes to children luck, it is the husband’s love direction which must be energized, not the wife’s.  This Feng Shui method for conceiving can only work, of course, if there is nothing medically wrong with either the husband or the wife.  However, the good news is that this method of Feng Shui can also help couples to find suitable baby for adoption.  While positioning the bed to face the love direction of the husband, one must be also careful of other bedroom taboos.  There are many important and interesting Feng Shui guidelines on bedrooms, and we will focus on these in a future article.
