Any solution to counter on the bed facing the room door?

I have problems arranging the bed as both directions options available seems to faced either the
toilet door or the room door.

This is not that big a problem. Is it possible to place a small cedar type chest at the end of the bed, if the end of the bed is in a direct line with the door? (nothing higher than the bed). Or, if it has to face the bathroom door, can the bathroom door be kept closed? Either of these would correct the problem.
