Hello,

I'm interested in finding out the possible auspicious days to get married in 2012. I checked out the related section here on the website, and I liked a particular date, which is 25 august. I read somewhere, thought, that the wedding date should be chosen with regard of both people's birth charts.

Can you elaborate on how to find one or more auspicious dates by myself, or can someone here do that for me, please? It's not necessary for the date to be in 2012, though, since we're not officially engaged yet. I am just interested in knowing how to choose the best date, when the time for that comes.

I have put our info below:

Me: 26 June 1986,female, Provadija, Bulgaria, 01:20 AM local time (that should be GMT+3 at that certain point, because of the daylight savings time in the summer)

Him: 17 December 1981, male, Varna, Bulgaria, between 6 and 7 PM (or more likely, according to his mother - between 6.30 and 7 PM - unfortunately, she doesn't know the exact time herself); this is GMT+2 at that certain point (no daylight savings during the winter season)

I know about the shortcomings of our union, that is, according to Feng Shui But we're determined on making this work, and we have done so for the last nearly 3 years. Speaking of which, I am also curious whether the date on which we actually started our relationship does matter at all? I am talking about 25 February 2009, which I couldn't find info about. I just read though, that for a male Rooster, such as my BF, would be not recommended to get married in the year of the Dragon, which is in 2012, is that so and why?

I have many questions, really, as you may have spotted already I would be grateful for any information on the matter!

Thank you!

Dear Roz,

It is hard enough to do a bazi reading for 1 person and even more difficult to do a compatibility reading for 2 person...as it is not easy and takes time. Also there is the issue of date selection involve. If you can already forsee problems in your marriage, you better get a competent feng shui master or a person who is knowledgeable to help you out. However, if you want to leave it to fate....then I guess any amateur will do

Thank you for replying, cnyelie!

Unfortunately, I don't have access to feng shui masters. In fact, where I live, feng shui is not very popular and is not taken seriously by most people. The only person I know who's into feng shui, is me

Additionally, there are too few feng shui books around here, or more precisely - too few books by Lillian Too. There are others whose authors I am not familiar with and therefore I am reluctant to buy them. I have decided to go around and look for The Sercrets of your birthchart by Lillian Too (not sure of the exact title, though) and see if I can put my hands on it

In the mean time, this forum is my only serious source of information, even though it's not serious to call a forum a serious place at all, if you get my point.

I am aware that ba zi analysis takes time, and I wanna learn. So if you can recommend certain books or something - please do so! I can't really afford much, but I think a few additional books won't do any harm to my budget

As for my future marriage - I can see how similar and yet how different me and him are, and he sees it too. We're not really compatible both according to the eastern and to the western astrology, but we're not a distastrous match either, so things could work if we both want them to work, so we both think.

Still, if anyone here could offer some insight, it will be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Roz,

You can also try getting Joey Yap books. However, my recommendation is Essentials of Four Pillars of Destiny by Goh Guan Leong and Four Pillars of Destiny (Intermediate) by the same author. However, I doubt that you can find those books in Bulgaria. Wishing you the best of luck !!

Ha, that's absolutely true - just basic feng shui for the home - that's what the books that come here are about! But maybe I could try and order the books I want online.. Will see what I can do about that.

Thanks for the recommendations, cnyelie!

Thank you very much, c24680!

Can you elaborate on how you ended up with choosing those exact days, please?

On a side note, and a bit off-topic, I just bought a probably really basic book about Four Pillars - it's entitled simply Feng Shui (or that's what's written on the inside - the book is in Bulgarian so I'm referring to the publisher's notes on the inside) by Elizabeth Moran, Master Joseph Yu and Master Val Biktashev. In Bulgarian, the title is something like Find out your destiny with Feng Shui. The one that was mentioned earlier, costs around $38-40 USD and can only be purchased online, which is a bit too much for me at the moment, but some day.. The book I bought today was the only book related to Four Pillars I could find at the store, and mind you - it was a big well stocked store I will probably post my questions in the Four Pillars forum, when they emerge.
